Afternoon Light
What intelligence does the specific light of a stairwell at a certain time of day possess? What does the silhouette of a sumac tree know? What does a building feel as the day sinks below the Hudson River? Somehow these things, do not feel inanimate. They have presence, and personality and mood. They speak. They change my behavior and affect my day. They are alive and sense me as I sense them.
